Are Right Wing Extremists Trying to Recruit Our Troops? (www.salem-news.com)

When the American Legion and other conservative mouth pieces pressured Homeland Security into apologizing to Veterans, no one asked the hard questions.

In the zeal to protest America's Vets being insulted, most weren't, conservative apologists for home grown militias and white supremacists diverted attention from the DHS Assessment!!!

Ironically, not only the DHS but a Justice Department (FBI Assessment) came to the same conclusions that ultra conservative extremists may try recruiting OUR TROOPS!

No critic asked the basic questions - ARE THERE NOW ATTEMPTS TO RECRUIT ACTIVE DUTY TROOPS TO DISOBEY ORDERS or QUESTION THE CONSTITUTION or CIVILIAN GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY?

The answer is that one such group has been found, but it is up to Homeland Security in conjunction with the Departments of Defense and Justice to determine how many others are there.

Homeland Security, the Justice Department via the FBI, and Defense Department has means for citizens to report suspected extremists activity that crosses the line. Recruitment of Our Troops to question civil authority crosses the line.

Groups in question should not be reported simply for religious beliefs, ideology, or Constitutional views, but only if they are asking Our Troops to disobey orders or question civil authority over them. This is not limited to enlisted members.

Though the emphasis is on recruitment of active duty troops, our National Guard would also be vulnerable given the debate over states rights vs civil federal and state authority.

Regarding our troops and families coping with PTSD, I've mentioned in previous articles focusing anger and frustration while coping away from YOU (US). Joining an extremists groups is not what I had in mind!

I too have experienced a lot of anger and frustration at our various Chains of Command over the years, but NEVER advocate disobeying the orders of civilians in that chain even G.W. Bush.
